"This time I am hoping you would know me better."

........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
You cannot just say everything.
To love words, to love fiction
The power it gives a person.
The way it may seem, as if, as one, liberty and prison.
The metaphors, allegories, allusions—Illusions
The passing phase; its motion
It is there, it has passed.
It is there still—amassed.
This time I am hoping you would know me better,
From the words I gave you letter by letter,
From the books, the almost-love-letters, prose, poems that I sent,
Scribbling on water, yet I am in lament.
You are consistently inconsistent,
I am inconsistently consistent —
I know not what to do.
I am bound by this unarticulated circumstance —
And probably so are you.
To hope that somehow, someday,
In the back of your head,
You will indirectly understand:
I was (perhaps still am) in love with you.
